Unravelling and resolving inefficient glucolipid biosurfactants production through quantitative multi-omics analyses of Starmerella bombicola strains

In the framework of the Applisurf project, FLAMAC worked together with Bio-based Europe Pilot Plant and Ghent University (UGent) on the development of a new bio-based surfactant portfolio. Flamac’s mission is the characterisation of surfactant physio-chemical properties through automated and accelerated methods.

The recently published article focusses on glucolipid biosurfactants production by Starmerella bombicola. Physio-chemical properties such as solubility, surface tension at solubility and foaming performances measured by FLAMAC with automated systems are published in the article and help to target a possible field of application for these newly discovered biosurfactants.
