Sirris Materials Day 2010 (April 29, 2010)

Materials Engineering is one of the technology domains in which Sirris is active. Every year they organise a special conference about this subject: Sirris Materials Day, completely dedicated to materials innovation.

The 3 themes of this year:

  • Smart materials: lecture by RenĂ© De Keyser of Agfa Materials
  • Composite materials: lectures by Prof. Ignaas Verpoest of K.U. Leuven and Arno De Taye (Ex-Samsonite)
  • Sustainable materials: lecture by Marc Lambrechts of Capricorn Venture Partners

After these lectures small interactive groups will be put together which will go into discussion about these subjects.

The closing lecture is given by Mr. Filip Martens, CEO of C-Power

Powder Flow 2009 (December 16, 2009)

Leading scientists will present their work on the measuring and understanding powder flow, with a particular look at powder rheology. In addition theoretical understanding of powder flow, and their visualisation with the latest laser technology will be presented.
